Get to Know Jen
Jen is an Educator by trade—with experience ranging from Bilingual Pre-K through Third grade. She was very active growing up—she played piano, swam, ice skated, ran track, played basketball, cheered and danced. She loved, and still loves, The Arts. Her biggest love is music, and it wouldn't be uncommon for her to respond to a question or make a comment using a Hip Hop verse or song lyric. Her mother is Haitian, her father was Bangladeshi, the two met in Brooklyn and Jen was born here in New Jersey. She is fluent in Spanish and can speak and understand some Haitian Creole and French. Fun Fact: for 1st through 5th grade, Jen went to a Polish Catholic School, where one of the first languages she formally learned was Polish (she can only remember a few words now). She's always loved culture and enjoys traveling and eating different foods. Jennifer is a proud alum of the University of Delaware where she was a Psychology major and Spanish Minor and continued on to receive her Masters in Human Development and Family Studies Research. Jen currently serves on the President's Coterie for the Newark Public Library as an ambassador to the library, bringing awareness to the activities and resources that the library offers. As a member of The Scott Team (along with her husband, Julius Scott), she prides herself on transparency, diligence, and leading their clients along a path of legacy for their families. Her main goal as a Real Estate agent is to hear their clients' needs, educate them on the best way to achieve their goals and advocate on their behalf from beginning to end.
