Every small business has a story, and Velvet Lush’s journey to Montclair began back in 2018 in Woodland Park, New Jersey.
"I actually had a customer come in from Montclair who owned a yoga studio around the Walnut Street area. She recommended a space that was becoming available, so I came and checked it out and immediately fell in love with the neighborhood."

"Walnut Street had its own essence that I thought was very special. It was very quaint, off the beaten path."
Velvet Lush officially opened its Montclair doors in 2019, right before the world shifted with COVID-19. Despite the challenges that followed, Tiffany’s adaptability allowed her to navigate multiple locations and pivot when necessary. Today, Velvet Lush is back in a beautiful new space in that very same Walnut Street neighborhood on North Willow, continuing to bring her signature West Coast warmth to Essex County shoppers.
