- Bloomfield: Watsessing Park Splash Pad. A massive, fully interactive splash park. Open to all visitors for free. No public seating or towel services are available, so bringing fold-up lawn chairs is highly recommended. The park is a frequent hub for local gourmet food trucks, but families are completely free to bring their own coolers.
- West Orange: South Mountain Recreation Complex (Regatta Playground). Premier, high-volume splash pad right next to the reservoir. Free admission for all. Open public seating is limited, so bring your own chairs and towels. The complex sits steps away from McLoone’s Boathouse and local waterfront dining, or you can bring your own snacks.
- Newark: Mulberry Commons. Located right in downtown Newark across from the Prudential Center, this modern public green space features a vibrant architectural splash pad area for children.
